At 84-millimeters underfoot, these skis have some counterparts in the ski world, but they hold on to their carving roots, and lean more to that discipline than some others that blur the line a bit more for versatility. These are more like wide carving skis, and that’s just how Head wants it to be known. Built with their power wood core, the skis also get two sheets of metal and a strip of graphene. This makes them incredibly powerful and damp and allows carving enthusiasts to really get low and lean their hips down to the snow, leaving nothing but perfectly round carved turns in their wake. In addition, Head uses some high-tech properties here with their Energy Management Circuit. These filters out vibrations, leaving you with the smoothest and dampest experience possible on the hill, regardless of how icy the hill may be. With the width in the mid-80’s the ski may appear to be able to float, but it is a lot happier on firmer snow, and for most skiers, that’s what they deal with a whole lot of the time, so it makes a lot of sense to have skis that respond to those types of conditions, and the Head Supershape e-Titan skis with with PRD 12 GW Bindings is a great example of that unflinching ski.
